
MEET THE CHIEF
Brad York serves as the Chief Deputy, a position he has held for the last seven years. Previously, Chief Deputy York served as a Road Deputy, Road Patrol Sergeant, K9 handler and Captain of Operations.
Prior to his employment at the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Brad served with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and Danbury Township Police Department. Brad began his career at the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office in 1990 and has been proudly serving since that time.
Brad graduated from Danbury High School in 1984. He attended the Sandusky Police Academy from 1986-87. He has attended numerous training classes, seminars, and leadership courses as well as holding several certifications.
Brad has been married for 28 years to Kelly and together they have three awesome children: Shane (25), Stone (22) the princess of the family Sheridan (20). The Yorks coincedentially have two Yorkies, Si and Stella.
Brad’s interest and hobbies include working out at the gym and spending time with his family. His favorite thing about Ottawa County is the lake the great community that he calls home.
